Our Halloween started last Friday and went to last night. On Friday my class went to the Carolina House to trick-or-treat. When we got there a man kept singing. My teacher said he was an Elvis person, but I don't know what that means. All I know is that he kept singing and we had to sit still for a long time, but I got a bunch of candy. Then we got to go trunk-or-treating in the parking lot at school. My friends and I wore our costumes and got lots of treats. Charlie liked the popcorn and was a very cute mufasa lion. On Saturday we had our neighborhood parade and party. Me and Charlie had fun on the giant slide and in the bounce house. Then we went to Auntie Lynn's birthday party. I got to run around with my friend Sophia and Charlie got chased by mom and dad all night. On the real Halloween I rested. I was kind of tired out and not feeling very good. But I still went trick or treating and taught Charlie how to do it. He kept wanting to go in neighbors' garages for treats. It was fun that Uncle Tommy and Aunt Elisabeth came over to have Halloween with us!
And I almost forgot to tell you . . . I scored 3 goals at my soccer game on Saturday! mom said I grew wheels and dad promised a toy if I scored a goal . . . so I scored three :) I was great out there!!

Today we went to the pumpkin patch with Abby and Uncle Rick and Aunt Chris. It was awesome! We went down a tube slide, through a maze, played in a corn pit, went on a hayride, and walked through the pumpkin patch to pick out pumpkins. It was a great day! And then Unlcle Rick took us to his beer factory before we got sandwhiches at a restaurant. Uncle Rock let me drive a forklift. In a few years I will work for beer. Aunt Chris is going to have a baby boy. We can't wait to have another playmate! Check out the pictures from our fun day, at least these are the photos mom could take before her camera battery died . . . oops.

P.S.
Can you believe this blog just turned 3! Almost as old as me....
The last year has been a good one. I still like a lot of the same things, but am starting to get ready for kindergarten already and have a few new likes and dislikes. Here's an update about ME!
Favorite toys: hotwheels, nascar in particular (some things never change)
Favorite sport: is nascar a sport? I also like soccer, football, and can finally swim on my own
Favorite foods: anything with chocolate or a lot of sugar. I also like hotdogs, tacos, cheeseburgers, noodles, donuts.
Favorite music: boom boom pow still makes me move. When Daddy sings me Grateful Dead songs.
Best buddy: Charlie
Girlfriend: Mommy
What Charlie calls me: Boo
What I look forward to most: a trip to the toy store, Nana coming to visit, going to the State Fair with my friend Caleb, going to the pumpkin patch, and having a party with my friend Abby
Latest Obsession: iPod gaming

Banana Cats
A couple of weeks ago I started soccer. We wear yellow shirts and we gave ourselves the name of Banana Cats. So far I have had two practices and one game. I don't think we won. I tried to have fun, but wasn't really sure what to do. Mom, Dad, and Charlie came to watch me play. Charlie wants to play too. Here are some pictures from our first practice and our first game. Mom also posted some pictures on the right of a fall trip we made to Duke Forest to collect rocks. I think Charlie likes to throw rocks as much as me.

Fit as a Fiddle
My little brother is almost 16 months. He had to go to the doctor's a couple of weeks ago to make sure he was growing well and to get two shots. Mom thought for sure he was built like a line backer, but really he is just below the 50th percentile for weight. Charlie weighs 23 lbs 11 oz and is 31 inches tall! Some of his favorite words are bus, kuku, boo, gooooaaaaal, wash, up plane, car, cow, ball, birds, kids, cuck (he's really trying to say truck), nana, and of course mama and daddy.

NASCAR Baby!
Last weekend mom and dad decided to spoil me. We went on a mini vacation to Charlotte for a night. On the way there we went to the Charlotte Motor Speedway. It was so cool. I got to ride around the track going really fast. Mom will post a video soon. I got to drive thru pit row, victory lane, and see the drag racing track. Mom says my neck looks a little red. I don't get it, but daddy thinks it's funny. After the race track we went to our hotel and then had dinner in a restaurant. We went swimming at the hotel and then I got to run around like crazy. Charlie chased me down the hall. We all slept in one room and I got to sleep in a giant bed with lots of pillows! Then the next day I went to the new Nascar Hall of Fame. We got to see an IMAX movie and lots of Nascar cars and people. After we picked up mom from her workshop we drove home and on the way we passed the Rockingham Speedway! And then the next day Dad took me and Charlie to the Oconeechee raceway. It was a weekend full of racing, whoohoo!! I got two new Nascar toys and a keychain for my lunch box. Mom and dad even took me to Red Robin to eat cheeseburgers and play the driving game. I love when mom and dad spoil me! Check out pictures from our race weekend!

Summer Vacation in Northern Michigan
Last Sunday we got home from our summer vacation in northern Michigan. I had so much fun with all of my cousins! Mom and Dad made sure I stayed busy and stayed out of too much trouble. When I got to Nana's she took me to meet her friend Bert who took me on a ride in an antique fire truck. How many 4 year olds do you know that have taken a firetruck to get ice cream? Then I got to see Joey Lagano's car at home depot and a tank. Aunt Laurie hooked me up with some popcorn. I got to go to the beach, the pool, the playground, the dollar store, a water fountain play area, a candy store, a lighthouse, and even to Pirate putt putt. Charlie had fun too and loved playing in the waves and at the water fountain. We both got to stay up really late at night and got to eat lots of treats! mom says we are in detox. I was happy to get home to play with my cars and to see Mica and Kuku.

Summertime and the living is easy
well for some. I personally have been having a great summer. I am still going to school but we get to learn about things like camping and the beach. One day when Nana was here I got to play hooky from school. First we got to eat ice cream after breakfast, then Nana and I went and drove around town until we found a double bus. We followed it until we could park and get on and then we road it all over town! Then we went to McD for lunch and then to the toy store. It was just about the best day I have ever had. Nana please come back and play hooky with me again soon. Charlie is trying to be as big as me. Daddy calls him the Fat Goat because he can eat anything in site. He usually finishes mommy's dinner and my dinner. And his mouth is full of teeth so he can eat big things like a full cheeseburger or a burrito. He likes to chase the cats and play outside like me. He is also starting to say a few more things like bird, cat, and can roar like a lion. He also tries to sing like Daddy. Next week we get to leave in the middle of the night to fly to Michigan. I can't wait to see all of my grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins!
Here are some pictures of our summer so far.

Wanna buy a duck?
Today we went to cheer on our ducks! Mom bought us six ducks. Not a one won the race.... but it was worth it just to be in a sea of rubber duckies and to swim in the Eno River! Check out the photos to see how we spent our morning at the West Point on the Eno park. It sure was a hot day. We were all limping to the finish line and Charlie fell asleep as soon as he was buckled into his carseat.

Joan and Kyle's Wedding
Last Saturday was a big day. Joan and Kyle got married and I was in charge of taking the rings down the aisle. Everyone kept asking me if I was something called a ring bearer, whatever that meant. All I knew was that I got to carry a motorcycle in the church. We went to the church afterschool to practice. I paid attention and then got to play soccer with some big boys. The next day I woke up and was so excited for Joan's wedding! I got to wear a tie and looked handsome, and like a six year old. Charlie had to stay home and Mom, Dad, and I went back to the church. This time there were a lot of people. I got really nervous. I was happy to see Kyle, but then he had to hide. Mom said he wasn't allowed to see Joan. Joan looked like a princess. I told her Kyle was hiding. I didn't want to let go of Mom or Dad's hands, but Mom told me it was time to walk up the aisle with the motorcycle. Kyle was in the front of the church waving to me and calling me to come. Mom said it was OK and she'd see me at the front. So I let go of her hand and ran up to Kyle. He caught me. Then I had to stand in front for a little while while the priest talked. Then I had to sit while the priest talked some more. Good thing I got to go to my chair. I kept getting tired and asking mom to pick me up, but she wouldn't. She told me if I could stay quiet and be good that I could have two hot wheels. I love Mom. Later everyone said I did a good job as a ring bearer and was as fast as a motorcycle. I really had fun at the party. I kept asking mom who's birthday it was, but she told me it was a party for Joan and Kyle. Whatever it was, I had fun and got to stay up really late! Mom and Dad are really happy for Joan and Kyle. I'm happy too. Here are some pictures from the wedding.

Happy New Year!
December was an exciting and busy month! I celebrated my fourth birthday with lots of friends. We also said goodbye to the home of our school and will start in a new school building tomorrow. I am so happy that my teachers and friends will be there. And then of course it was Christmas!! Yippee! I had so much fun opening all of the presents. Thank you to all of my grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends for all of the great gifts. Mom says I am spoiled. My favorite was a garage for all my cars. Santa knew exactly what I wanted! I had fun at home with mom, dad, and charlie. We got to play with lots of toys and eat lots of treats. Here are some pictures from the past couple of weeks. Happy New Year!
